(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Hisham Udwan, Manager of Rafah Crossing in Gaza, said Egyptian authorities decided to open Rafah crossing next Tuesday for three days for the travel of pilgrims from Gaza to Saudi Arabia for performing Haj, according to Anadolu Agency.
According to Awqaf Department in Gaza, 2008 Palestinians from Gaza Strip are going to travel to Saudi Arabia for Haj this year.
Rafah border crossing connects Gaza to Egypt, which keeps it closed almost permanently. The crossing has been closed since July, 2013 and was only opened for distant short periods that lasted for just few days for humanitarian cases only.
